Exciting Coaching Changes for Daramalan Rugby in 2027

Daramalan Rugby is excited to announce that Sean Connochie will take over as Head Coach of the Senior Rugby Program for the 2027 season.

Sean brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, having previously served as Daramalan's 1st XV Head Coach, as well as coaching 1st Grade attack at the Gungahlin Eagles. His experience across both schoolboy and senior club rugby will be invaluable as we continue to develop our players and strengthen the Daramalan Rugby program.

We are thrilled to welcome Sean back into this leadership role. He has already begun working towards creating a positive, challenging and enjoyable environment where players can develop their skills, build strong connections and get the most out of their rugby experience.

This transition also sees Ben McGee step down as Head Coach of the Senior Program, allowing him to focus more broadly on the development and growth of the entire Daramalan Rugby Club.

Ben will place a particular emphasis on strengthening our junior pathways and supporting the coaches who play such an important role in developing our younger players. His focus will be on ensuring that our juniors have the best possible opportunities to learn, grow and, most importantly, enjoy their rugby during these formative years.

We thank Ben for his commitment and leadership of the Senior Program and look forward to the positive impact he will continue to have across the club.
With Sean leading our senior teams and Ben helping drive the development of our junior pathways, we are confident that Daramalan Rugby is well positioned for continued growth and success.

2027 is shaping up to be another exciting year for Daramalan Rugby, and we look forward to welcoming both returning and new players and families into our rugby community.
